Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Reelscraft ("the App") handles your information. The App is a video editor that works entirely on your device. Your videos, projects and edits are never sent to our servers — we don't operate any.

1. Data Collection

No Account Required: The App does not require a user account. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.

Photo Library: To import videos the App uses PhotosPicker, which runs out-of-process and shows you Apple's native picker. The App only receives the specific videos you select. When you export, the App asks for permission to add the finished video to your photo library; it does not read your library to do so.

Files and Music: Videos and audio you choose from Files (or Finder on Mac) are copied into the App's own storage so your project keeps working if the original moves. The App only reads the files you pick.

Local Storage: Projects, edits and the copies of your imported media are stored locally in the App's private container on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.

2. Video Processing

All editing, preview rendering, filters, titles and exporting happen on your device using Apple's AVFoundation, Core Image and Core Text frameworks. No video, audio or image is transmitted to us or to any third party.

3. Analytics & Tracking

The App does not run any analytics. There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no attribution tools, and no cross-app tracking. The App does not use the App Tracking Transparency identifier (IDFA) and does not share any data with data brokers.

4. In-App Purchase

Reelscraft Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The App checks Apple's signed purchase record on your device to know whether Pro is unlocked.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Because the App does not collect personal information from you in the first place, there is nothing for us to share. When you choose to share an exported video, it goes only to the app or person you pick in the system share sheet.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, we are compliant with COPPA regulations.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You own your data. Delete a project from the project library (touch and hold, then Delete) to remove it and its imported media from the App, or delete the App to remove everything. Videos you exported to Photos stay in Photos until you delete them there. There is no account or server-side data to request deletion of.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted.
